DATA DELETION — MyShift & Payslip / MyShift & Paycheck

MyShift & Payslip / MyShift & Paycheck stores all data exclusively on your device. Optionally, you can sign in with Google and back up your data to Google Drive (in a private application folder). You always have full control of your data.

DATA STORED LOCALLY

The application stores the following data only in the local storage (localStorage) of your device:

Salary and financial information (base salary, income tax withholding, supplements, extra pay, overtime, night shift premiums, sick leave). Shift and calendar data (shift patterns, assignments, colors, labels, events, notes). Payroll data (fixed items, supplements, deductions, calculations). App preferences (dark mode, currency, country/region, automatic clock-in settings). Workplace coordinates (only if you activate the automatic clock-in feature).

HOW TO DELETE ALL YOUR DATA

You can completely delete all application data in two ways:

Option 1 — Uninstall the application

  1. Go to your Android device Settings.
  2. Select Apps (or "Applications" depending on your device).
  3. Find and select MyShift & Payslip.
  4. Tap Uninstall.

This will remove the application and all its associated data from your device permanently.

Option 2 — Clear data without uninstalling

  1. Go to your Android device Settings.
  2. Select Apps (or "Applications").
  3. Find and select MyShift & Payslip.
  4. Tap Storage (or "Storage & cache").
  5. Tap Clear data (or "Clear storage").

This will delete all application data but keep the app installed. The next time you open it, it will be as if freshly installed.

Option 3 — Export before deleting

If you want to save a copy of your data before deleting it, the application offers an export function:

  1. Open the MyShift & Payslip application.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Use the Export configuration option to save your data in JSON format.
  4. Once exported, proceed to delete the data using Option 1 or Option 2.

Important: Data deletion is permanent and irreversible. Make sure to export any information you wish to keep before proceeding.

DATA ON GOOGLE DRIVE (OPTIONAL)

If you have signed in with Google and used the cloud backup feature, your data is stored in the application's private folder (appDataFolder) within your Google Drive. This folder is invisible in your Google Drive and only accessible by the application itself.

To delete this data:

  1. Visit myaccount.google.com/permissions.
  2. Find MyShift & Payslip in the list of apps with access to your account.
  3. Click Remove access. This revokes the app's permission and deletes the private data folder.

Alternatively, you can sign out of Google from the Data section in Settings within the application.

THIRD-PARTY DATA (GOOGLE ADMOB)

The application uses Google AdMob to display ads. Google AdMob may collect certain device data (advertising identifiers, IP address, device information and ad interaction data). This data is managed directly by Google and is subject to the Google Privacy Policy.

To manage data collected by AdMob, you can:

  1. Go to Settings > Google > Ads on your Android device (or Settings > Privacy > Ads on some devices).
  2. Reset your advertising ID or opt out of ad personalization.
  3. Visit your Google account to manage your privacy data.

RETENTION PERIODS

MyShift & Payslip does not retain any user data on external servers. Local data remains on your device until you decide to delete it using any of the methods described above. There is no additional retention period by the developer.
